19 kids and counting takes on a whole new meaning

The show has been taken off air because of this. I believe I saw where Josh was doing it ten years ago or so--- when he was a teen.

This one of my wife's favorite shows and the kids watch it as well. I was not expecting this but it shows that no family is squeaky clean. The dad said this was the hardest time in their lives and they had to rely on God more than ever before.
 
So the guy molests young girls, then goes to work for the Family Research Council where he advocates against same-sex marriage and gay rights.

So predictable.

Some of the girls he molested were his own sisters #familyvalues

The only shocking thing was he was not caught with a profile on a gay website.
 
Folks dragged their feet to tell the cops, then the cop they did tell turned out to be a kiddy porn freak. By the time it broke the statue of limitations has expired.
 
So the family covered this up all these years for financial gain. I wonder if the show's producers knew about it?
 
Super creepy. To me this family was hustling 24/7 to make big money...
I didn't watch this show and naturally won't miss it.

The producers had to know. Oprah was emailed about this prior to an appearance and turned it over to authorities. TV is a small industry. They knew.
 
The kid probably heard his creepy parents going at it every night so they could make more money makers -
er, kids. Decided if his Daddy was so all in maybe he was missing out on something great. (Yeah I know)

That's deducting a lot from someone who admitted to have never watched the show.

If folks are going to say they tried to display a squeaky clean image yet had major issues then I can get on board with that. Overall they seemed like decent people--- they were way over whelming with some of their views like no kissing before marriage--- but their clean living was refreshing, thus the reason this news coming out was surprising to many. Just proves every family has issues.
 
So today I looked up all the Duggar kids' DOB's and figured out the following:
When Josh was doing this molesting, he only had 5 sisters....at the time he did this, Jana was 12, Jill was 11, Jessa was 9, Jinger was 8, and Joy-Anna was 4. After Joy-Anna was born, Michelle had boy after boy after boy after boy for a long time, so none of the other sisters were even born then. So, there's his victim list, I guess.

Only 4 or his 5 victims were his sisters but that narrows down the list quite a bit :-/
 
Apparently his father did not turn him in to the authorities for over a year after he first knew about it. seems like a nice family.
 
With that many kids you would expect the law of averages would produce one of two that were a little messed up.
I don't know anything about the family, but it seems like Mom and Dad did all they could to cover this up.

Their clean living was a complete sham. And a kid molesting his freakin younger sisters is just a tad more than "every family has issues"!!
 
Why would/should there be a statute of limitations on something like molestation?

Also, the parents are/were complicit sickos.

Shame on all of them. Poor girls. No chance to turn out even remotely ok now in that loony tunes, sexually explicit, incestuous household. Just sad.
 
What a whacked out family. Mom's popping kids out like a Pez dispenser, but dating or God forbid expressions of sexuality are taboo. Big bro is playing doctor with a different sister every day of the week. Now dad is the head coach at UF. Where does it end?

Seriously? Well not disgusting, but cringe worthy, sad, and uncomfortable to watch sometimes. The reason the show was so popular was that normal Americans couldn't believe that people actually lived and thought like that.

Go read their FB page--- their ratings were so high because of the millions of fans they have. People actually saw them as refreshing compared the vulgarity of other shows like the Kardashan's. So, I disagree on your premise.
 
The Mother in this family seems pretty nice. The Dad is creepy, though. Looks like the son took after the Dad...

I find them disgusting because they are popping out kids for religious and selfish reasons. They decided to "allow God to determine the number of children they would have." They are are not farmers from the 1800's needing plow hands, they are doing this strictly because they believe their purpose in life is keep bringing in new life. Today's world is overpopulated gobbling up resources and that's why I said what I did.
