Not playing over Tim Howard.if LeBron trained for 6 months to a year at learning to be a goalie in soccer, do you believe he would have a chance at making the national team when done?
Not playing over Tim Howard.
A big piece of goalkeeper is putting yourself in the right position as well as your defenders. It takes time and experience to get that knowledge. Being overly tall is not an advantage at Goalie. Howard can jump well over the height of the goal and can get to the ground quickly too when need be. Also, taking the goal kicks and punting the ball and playing the ball with his feet when they need to pass it back to him. Playing keeper at the professional level is much more than athletic ability.Tim Howard is the man, but I mean LeBron is more athletic, taller, jump higher, smart...idk man???

Fixed it for youlebron could eat out Hope Solo, but not Tim Howard.
I voted no. He'd be great on set pieces, though.
would be interesting to see him do some set pieces. its a very narrow skill that someone like him could master in reasonably short time. plus, few soccer players would have his strength to muscle into position, not to mention his vertical. if you think about it, its probably worth having one guy with his physical attributes on the field at a time just for taking and defending set pieces. Alexi Lalas made a career out of it.
