I'm done with the Jaguars

It was a good pick.

No the good pick would've been Leonard Williams who can play both inside and outside. Sendrick Marks will be out a few weeks and you can't put fowler inside. Williams could've provided depth there as well as the edge.

I don't get the love for Dainty by some of the posters around here. Guess it's just more gator envy.

FLower is a late 1st round pick at best. For a supposed pass-rush specialist, his stats are abysmal. Only 14 sacks in 3 years and nearly half of them against non P5 competition.

So what exactly makes Fowler a bad pick, other than being a Gator? We have no true pass rush threat. That's what he was drafted for. He's a perfect fit for our scheme.

Fowler is beast!!!! I don't see what people seein Williams

I just dont like going defense, the denfense was much better last year and not to mention the off season additons.

Wish they would have went offense with Gurley or Cooper, to help the offense. OL should be better, TE much improved with Thomas and the young WR will be better.

However they are counting on Gerhart, Pierce and Shoelace to carry the rock.

WR's are deep in draft. Don't need to waste a 1st rd pick to get a quality WR.

I don't want a qualit WR thats what Lee, Robinson and Hurns are.

We need game changers and excitement

Not sure there were any real game-changer WRs in this draft. Lot of great, dependable guys, but none that really strike me as game-changing.

Williams was the pick. Pass-rushers with Dainty's ability can be had early in the 2nd.

I don't get how people drop allegiances and then pick new teams based on personnel.

I would venture to guess that most people posting on this college team's board don't have any strong allegiances to NFL teams...especially one that didn't start until the mid-90s...

Good point, especially with the short history of the Jags. I've been a Dolphin fan since I was four and just assumed switching teams wasn't allowed.

This.

I grew knowing only FSU football. Became a Bucs fan as a young kid because they were loaded with Noles & my childhood hero Warrick Dunn. I cried when Shaun King crapped the bed against St. Louis. Started rooting for the Jags in college because everyone at FSU would rep their hometown on Sundays. Jacksonville was home.

Go Bucs!

Fowler was a great pick by the Jaguars.

I'm a Buccaneers fan though, so I'm all like dealwithit right now.

You passed on Amari Cooper and Leonard Williams for Dante Fowler. Another damn gator for a gator infested town.

Make room...I'm back to my childhood team The Tampa Bay Buccaneers!
That's why the Jags are awful, now let's see who has character once their players are away from Their media machine that protects them and persecutes us.

Not only that. ESECPN showed his "highlights" against Kentucky and Tennessee. What a joke. I don't remember any highlights against us.

Seriously.

The only plays I remember him making against us were against Cam in Cam's first year ever playing OL in 2012.

I think he's a good player but to move to OLB in a 3-4 and be picked up at a spot that is usually reserved for elite pass rushers? No way. He's far from an elite pass rusher and Jax really reached with that pick. More hype than production gets a 25-40 pick player drafted #3...

I am so bummed that the Jags picked Dainty Flower. Cannot forgive his signing day shenanigans. Maybe I'll go be a Bucs fan instead!

Jump ship while you can Nole Brethren! Jax is a slow burning dumpster fire. If their suits didn't take Williams over "Flower" they need to go!

I believe Telvin is still in Jacksonville, and I can't help but want him and his team to succeed. He's all nole and a good kid.

He was a unanimous top 10 pick by literally everyone. You don't know more than them nor do you watch as much film as them. Not saying it was a great pick because I don't know anything about Jax, but he isn't a late first round pick at best.

Classic group-think and hype. When the season ended, many were questioning if he could even hope for the top 10...fast-forward and suddenly he's one of the best players in the draft.

The truth is, his tape tells a different story. He's not a premiere pass-rusher by any stretch of the imagination. A good player with average stats that tested well at the combine. If he's a top 3 pass-rusher, Bjoern should have gone #1 overall.

Yawn...stop being a douche..the kid would have been the best player on our D last year by a mile

No he wouldn't have. If he was on our defense, Charles Kelly would have had him playing patty-cakes and contain. But it would have been nice to have him and Mario and Eddie playing on the same line.

I can't stand dainty. Really can't. And I don't think he's a top 3 player in this draft. But he's a top 15 player in 9/10 drafts. He's far from just a pass rush specialist, but he's far from the #3 overall player/best non QB in this draft (or any draft).

Fowler had 14 total sacks in 3 years as a pass rushing specialist. Why should we think he will exceed that type of productivity against better quality OL?
