NFL mock Draft?

Will someone be putting together a mock draft again this year? I think last year we made it through 3-4 rounds.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm sure they will set it up soon. Might need to post a reminder in the LR.

Last year we started about a week after the start of free agency. That way we had additional info so that eg. a team wouldn't draft a player when they just spent big FA dollars on a player at the position or made a trade for a player there. eg. When KC traded for Alex Smith there is no need to then take a QB in the 1st rd (I know this example is from 2013 but it still applies).

NoleLizard or Noleguy06 usually runs the draft, I do not have time to do the updates.

With that being said, why don't we pin this and have some posters start picking their team, where a poster's first choice of team from last year's draft is grandfathered in, so I would have Oakland this year as they were my first team that I picked and I believe I ended up picking up a second team due to the lack teams being represented, and I forget who my second team was, if I had one.

If we get up and going, we can try to get Walterfootball.com to add us to this links page like he did a few years ago.

I wish this was the NBA and I still had Boston, but I don't know if I'd have time to even do that with 14 picks over the next two drafts.......

And yes, I would trade all 14 of those picks for Lebron, who's contract expires next week.

Uncle Walter's mock draft page

I think I had Buffalo and NY Jets last year, but that was more filling in holes than preference. I would grab Houston, but I think Tex usually picks them.

Does anyone have last year's draft so we can see who is available?

Actually, this thing has been 67810's baby over the years, but he's so busy now I don't know if he'd be able to run it. If we do this again, I get stuck with Kansas City every year and then wind up picking for at least one more team afterwards.

Yeah usually we'll create a thread right about now to start picking the teams. Then after the combine/free agency, start selecting.

I'll go ahead and take the Bears. If someone else could run I would greatly appreciate it...I tried to run it last year but ended up doing you all a disservice since my work doesn't really permit enough time to be devoted to running it. It went smoothly though after Lizards took over.

Unless someone is grandfathered for New England, I'll take them. If they are taken, then Tennessee.

In the spirit of DFS & 817 taking over the FedEx pick 'em, I'll take over for the Commish's duties. I must warn you all that I am a technological trogloyte, however, as I do not even own a smart phone and things will not likely run as quickly or smoothly as they did under 67810. (My unusual work and child custody schedules won't help expedite matters at times.) As long as you guys are patient and understanding, I'll run it this year.

I'll lend a hand as I can.

Thanks DFS.

Here's the sign-up sheet based on the first-round draft order. (Cleveland actually has Buffalo's 1st-round pick.) We'll give people time to claim one team with deference given based on who people have had in past drafts. Once choosing teams has ground to a halt, the process will be repeated with picking a second team, etc., etc.... Once all that is done, I'll begin a new thread with the official rules and draft order for the first three rounds:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers--Semiologist
Tennessee Titans--SmittyNOLES
Jacksonville Jaguars--1nole2
Oakland Raiders--Manch.
Washington Redskins--jim65
New York Jets--thedudeabides17

By the way, this goes for anyone. I don't have a copy of last year's draft, and don't assume I remember who had who.

Then the Raiders getting Carr at #36 instead of the projected #8 makes the Raiders look good, especially with Mack falling to #5.

Your Raduhs had a great draft last year and are definitely on their way up.

The Rams it is...Just like everyone else, get ready to get a second team if more people don't sign up.

I will take the Jags again. Man, if things had played out like we drafted last year I may have been in line for a GM gig. Getting Mack in the 1st and then Beckham Jr in the 2nd was a steal lol.

I had the Pats last year, but they are now yours.

Ill take New Orleans Saints, do my best to keep up, dont get on this board too often, caught the pinned thread in the Locker Room.

Velcome! Once this thing officially gets rolling, I'm going to give out my email address so that I can get yours to remind you when your pick is coming up. You'll have 24 hours after the previous selection is made (except on weekends when you get more leeway) before you can be skipped.

Awesome! That will work for me.

OK, this might be tampering, but I love Amari Cooper, and if Mariota keeps dropping, he'll be out of the top 4, which means Cooper probably ends up a Raiduh!!!!! Problem is, I really love Williams or Gregory to compliment Mack in Ken Norton, Jr.'s defense.

Anyone agree with me that it's about time people can start taking a second team?

We only have 13 signed up as of right now. That would be at least two teams for each plus some taking a third. I say wait and try to get a few more, plus the combine is in a few weeks and evaluations will change.
