With the 118th pick, the Kansas City Chiefs select...

i

Dezmin Lewis, WR, Central Arkansas. 6-4, 215.

The Chiefs are in such dire need of help at the wide-out position that they double-dip here. Mel Kiper recently.named Lewis his #1 prospect on his small-school list. Kansas City gets tremendous value here halfway through the fourth round and is very pleased with the haul it has brought in to this point.

Per CBS Sports:

Strengths Weaknesses
STRENGTHS: Sports an athletic frame with good muscular development in his upper body. Savvy route-runner who varies his release and gait to create slivers of separation. Soft, natural hands to pluck the ball outside of his frame. Good awareness to avoid the first defender after the catch, showing some wiggle and a burst. Good recognition of the sideline to get a foot down in bounds. Smooth accelerator, though his top-end speed is a question. Good awareness as a downfield blocker, though he could show greater physicality in this area.

WEAKNESSES: Lacks explosiveness as a runner and leaper. Relies on deception to sneak deep rather than possessing the top-end speed to challenge over the top. Doesn't consistently use his size to his advantage, mistiming his leaps and pestering rather than controlling opponents as a downfield blocker. Lacks the shiftiness and acceleration to generate much yardage after the catch and does not have the speed to pull away.

Player Overview
A three-time Southland Conference selection, Lewis leaves Central Arkansas second in career receptions (197) and third in receiving yards (2,618) and receiving touchdowns (24).
He earned First Team all-conference honors in 2014 with career-highs in receptions (64), receiving yards (945) and scoring (nine touchdowns). Lewis isn't just productive, he's capable of making the spectacular reception, including a touchdown against Stephen F. Austin in which he reached around a defender to latch on and control the ball, earning UCA a rare SportsCenter mention on the Top 10 plays for Oct. 4, 2014.

Lewis' ultimate draft status could hinge on how scouts feel he performs against the elite talent at the Senior Bowl and at the Combine. Lewis looks the part of an NFL receiver with excellent size and a muscular frame. He's a savvy route-runner who possesses impressive hand-eye coordination. There is some question, however, as to his straight-line speed.

Any way we can get a post with the other rounds? I'm gonna lose track of who is and who isn't available/

The original thread is still on the board with the entire draft selections to this point. I just can no longer edit the whole enchilada with the new format.

Not the entire thread. Just picks 1-10 and then 115 and on. No write ups left for 11-114.

Yeah, unfortunately it appears most of the write-ups are gone, but at least the list of picks is still in the first post.

Damn we lost everything, that sucks. How will we remember everyone that was taken.
Once again, between the first posts in the old thread and this one, all of the selections are listed.

119- St. Louis Rams take: Jake Ryan, OLB/ILB, Michigan

Jake-Ryan.jpg

Jake Ryan is a pure NFL linebacker. Ryan is a capable run-stopper and a willing tackler. He's a smart player and has experience playing inside and outside linebacker. The Rams will greatly value his versatility and ability to stop the run.

Fifth year senior and two time team captain. Considered to be the leader of the Wolverines defense. Blue collar player. Ryan has played a couple of different positions, proving to be productive no matter where he lined up. He led the team in tackles in both 2012 and 2014 while showing the ability to be a true three down player. He may not have the movement ability and natural nose for the ball to be a starter, but he can factor as a quality backup and special teamer.

-David Syvertsen/Ourlads Scout

Jake Ryan is a very versatile player, a true football player. Can line up at any linebacking position, but would best fit as a small inside backer in a 3-4 in the NFL

--Ehren Nockels, Ourlads Draft Analyst

Natural playmaker on the edge that has a great motor and high football IQ. Very quick to read and react and is aggressive at the point of attack. Has the athleticism to cover open space and make plays. Sets the edge and takes great angles in pursuit. Wrap-up tackler that is able to break down and tackle ball carriers in open space. Great feel for zone coverage when playing outside the hashes. Gets good depth and positioning on drops into the flats and disrupts passing lanes. Good anticipation with the ball in the air. Needs to use his hands better when engaged. Attacks blocks with one shoulder instead of attacking head on and shedding. Lacks explosive pass rush ability and has a limited variety of moves. Struggles in man coverage over the middle of the field and doesn't seem comfortable backpedaling and running with receivers. Has experience playing OLB, ILB, and DE but seems most comfortable as a stand up edge defender.

First of all, thank you bojimnole for posting an entire list of earlier selections in this thread.

With the 120th pick, the Cincinnati Bengals select...

img24724369.jpg

Wes Saxton, TE, South Alabama. 6-4, 240.

A very intriguing "tweener" prospect, Saxton fills a need at either TE (Jermaine Gresham is a free agent who does not look to be re-signed.) or WR. (Both A.J. Green & Mohammed Sanu will be free agents after 2015.)
Saxton could use some seasoning, but if the plan works out, he could provide a match-up nightmare for defenses a la a poor man's Shannon Sharpe.

The next two selections have been sent to me via email...

# 121 Semiologist/Steelers: Grady Jarrett, DT, Clemson
# 122 fmol4: Stephen Nelson, DB, Oregon State

Further illustrating the depth of this draft, another name player from a big school goes off the board as bojimnole selects CB Alex Carter of Stanford via email.

With the 124th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select Javorius Allen, RB, USC.

The Panthers need to add depth and youth to the backfield. While this might not be the most needed position at this point in the draft, Allen brings good value at this position. He is very physical, has good size, blocks well, and has good hands. Allen has had a few ball security issues, but it isn’t anything that cannot be corrected.

STRENGTHS: Well-built back with good overall musculature, including thick thighs. Exhibits controlled aggression as a runner, showing the burst to zip through holes and the patience to allow them to develop. Possesses deceptive power and acceleration due to his slashing running style. Runs with good forward lean, initiating contact and showing good leg drive to generate yards after contact. Possesses soft hands out of the backfield and shows the ability to adjust to make tough grabs. Alert, physical pass blocker. Comes with experience in Sarkisian's pro-style offense and theoretically should be able to contribute early in his NFL career.

WEAKNESSES: Possesses a high-cut frame with long legs, giving defenders a sizeable target. Lacks ideal balance, struggling to regain his momentum if tripped up and occasionally swinging his arms (including the ball) to stay on his feet. Does not possess ideal breakaway speed.

The Baltimore Ravens use the 125th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft on Gabe Wright, DL, Auburn. I tried to do more of a write-up, but it errors out saying 10,000 character max.

10,000 Character Max? Is the system stating that the maximum number of characters we can ever have in a thread is 10,000? If so, Rivals just came up with a way to shorten threads.

With the 126th pick, the San Francisco 49ers select, WR, Tony Lippett from Michigan State University. At 6'2", Lippett is one of the taller WRs in the draft, outside of the 1st rounders. His size makes him a prime red zone threat and offers different abilities and compliments to the WRs already on the roster. Really think he blossomed his senior year, and if he had better production in years prior, would likely be going higher.
635529074813190397-SMG-20141129-jla-bh2-86.JPG

CBS Write-up:
STRENGTHS: Large, strong hands, and uses every inch of his wide catching radius to ajdust and snare passes away from his body. Plucks the ball and stays focused in contesed situation.

He has improved his patience in his route-running combined with excellent footwork in his breaks to sell patterns, hold defenders and create room to work after the catch, including using a mean stiff arm.

WEAKNESSES: Lacks an ideal body type with slender shoulders and lanky limbs. Average top-end speed with little that separates him athletically from others. Lacks suddenness off the line and at the top of his route, struggling to stack. Needs to attack defensive backs in the open field, before and after the catch instead of avoiding contact. Needs to show better sink-and-cut in his route movements to hold defenders. Doesn't consistently play up to his height/length and needs to be more consistent on 50-50 chances. Underwhelming production as an underclassman with only four career touchdowns prior to his senior season.

With the 127th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select, DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches. Southern Miss. 6-2, 307.

Dallas could have gone with a RT, CB, S,DE but Roches seems to be a good value pick and also a position of need.
Cowboys could use some youth at DT and another body who can play in order to add depth.

Strengths
Fires out of starting blocks at the snap. Sniffs out direction of play and looks for gaps to shoot. Above-average agility and balance for position. Plays on his feet and uses low center of gravity and leg drive to maintain his leverage against single blocks. Difficult to control him off snap. Able to call on additional power and improve position once engaged. As pass rusher, gets to the corner and keeps grinding to constrict pocket. Plays hard and pursues hard. Gave good effort each snap despite playing for a struggling team. Blocked two kicks in college.
Weaknesses
Undersized and short-limbed. Loses sight of ball during penetration at times. Hard charger who gets going in one direction and struggles to right the ship and recover when play is behind him. Uses spin move to disengage, but it is usually too late. Missing burst needed to close out and tackle down the line. Gets fooled by play-action until it is too late. Relies on shoulder too often and needs to improve hands. Down blocks and double teams can crater him. Inconsistent body lean as pass rusher.
Fireplug with a good motor and an ability to find gaps and drive upfield through them. He's missing the size and brute strength necessary to consistently handle himself in a phone-booth battle, so he will have to play in a one-gap, upfield defense. He has the look of a penetrating nose who will have to start his career as a backup.

If what I heard during Kiper's interview on The Herd today is any indication, I may deserve to win at least a nice meat fork for my Chiefs selections. The two were discussing their respective top mid-round sleeper picks...Colin mentioned Ty Montgomery & Mel said Dezmin Lewis! :D

With the 128th pick in the 2015 PGSF NFL Mock Draft the Indianapolis Colts select

Karlos+Williams+Florida+State+v+Auburn+wgXJPZizv-ol.jpg

Karlos Williams, RB Florida State University

While some will call this a reach, this team of talent evaluators has done a ton of homework on this and many other Florida State Players and feel we have at worst a ten year special teams all pro, at best a game changing back who will always protect Luck. Williams is a special kind of talent and team player who will make the Colts better for years to come

NFL write up

ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS
Former safety with aggressive, physical temperament. Taller and longer than most running backs, but has exceptional burst to trim the corner and go. Angular running style. Makes subtle changes of direction without gearing down. One-cut daddy on outside zone plays. Has good top-end speed. Can be a factor on swing passes and will body up in pass protection. Lowers pads and delivers a blow on the move. Falls forward and is a pile mover when pad level is right. Natural footwork for an inexperienced back. Slams it between tackles when asked and doesn't look to bounce outside. Shows patience and uses head fakes to freeze defenders in space. Hard to tackle and keeps feet churning at impact.
WEAKNESSES
Upright runner. Has issues playing with leverage when challenged suddenly in the hole. Needs to see contact coming to get pads low enough. Has just two years of running back experience. Instincts and feel are very hit and miss. Runs himself into trouble and might not fit all running schemes. Doesn't make many defenders miss on second level. "Explosive Rushes" (15-plus yards) fell off substantially in 2014. Gained additional weight preseason, which appears to have slowed him. Lost starting job to freshman. Was investigated by Tallahassee police in domestic battery case, but no charges were filed. Character will be combed over carefully.
DRAFT PROJECTION
Round 4 or 5

"Disappointing to see what he became as a runner this year. My grade dropped two full rounds on him and that is before the character stuff. He still has a very high ceiling though and that's in my report." -- NFC director of scouting

BOTTOM LINE
Williams is a big, talented athlete who is still finding his way as a running back. He seemed almost content to lose his job in 2014 and teams will be turning over every rock looking for information on his character. As a one-cut runner with exceptional burst and rare physical traits, Williams could become a very good starter in a zone-based scheme, but his floor is very low based on character and scheme fit.

With the 129th selection the Green Bay Packers select : Tyeler Davison DT Fresno state. 6'2 316lbs Very big and strong long armed tackle. Loves hand to hand combat. The Pack can use another big man on the D-line since Guion and Raji are free agents after this season.

I think you guys are being a little over-the-top in your criticism of the Colts' Los selection. First of all, this is a franchise that is very close to getting to the Super Bowl...if not winning it...and thusly they are entitled to a "luxury pick" if they choose to make one. Indy already acquired their feature back in free agency in Frank Gore. Not to speak for NiA, but it seems pretty obvious that the selection of Williams was made for other purposes.

Bottom line is Los is a freakish athlete who could perceivably fill a number of roles for a team that's already solid across the board such as the Colts. NiA himself mentioned how KW could be used as a protector for the franchise , Andrew Luck, as well as on special teams. In addition, Williams demonstrated here at FSU that he is an excellent receiver. Imagine him going up against an opponent's 4th or 5th best defensive back (or a linebacker) when Indy decides to spread the field four or five wide. With Los' experience on the defensive side of the ball, he could even be used as an extra DB in passing situations/prevent.

This is very late in the fourth round, and all it would take is the brain trust of one team to be enamored with Los sufficiently to select him by this point. I don't believe him going here is any stretch at all.

I'll give you the steak knives if Los goes in the 4th Rd, lol at Los being used as an extra DB, he was lost on defense at FSU and now he's gonna be put on defense in the NFL after not playing the position for a year. This is why they moved him to RB which is the easiest position to play in football. No team is entitled to a luxury pick if they haven't won the title the past year ,bad choice of words. However if he really wanted Los the chances of him being there in the 5Rd with this being an FSU board are pretty slim so I can see the reason for taking him late in the fourth. One of us would have picked him in the 5th before indy's pick.

No way LOS gets picked in the 4th, sorry that was the homer pick of the draft so far lol.

Personally I agree. However, I still visit the Fanspeak site to go through mock drafts from time to time, and recently I have seen Los moving up the board. I believe the last 2 times through he was drafted in the 4th or 5th round.

As a former Dolphins fan of 30 years, I am an expert in what qualifies as a draft "reach". Sixth-round prospect Eddie Moore being drafted in the 2nd by Miami in 2003 is perhaps just the most glaring example amongst many in which the buffoons running that organization partook.. Karlos Williams going toward the end of the fourth simply does not qualify.

Guess you must have loved that Dion Jordan pick at 3. FSUdawg I hear you but those simulations don't take into account his red flags which might worry some teams and push him to the 5th. Don't get me wrong I would love for the Cowboys to pick Los in this draft and I hope he has a great career.

The New England Patriots select Anthony Harris, S, UVA with the next pick. Patriots can always use secondary help, especially after losing two DB's this off-season. I'm pleased with what the Patriots have been able to amass so far: top flight CB, OL depth, LB depth, complimentary TE threat for Gronk, DE and now a S.

Harris is good value at the end of the 4th.

of course it was a bit of a homer pick, I like Los as a Nole and hope he gets into the 4th so I picked a player I like in the 4th round of our mock.

That being said, the NFL site which I posted has a 4th or 5th round projection which I have seen on some other sites, so it is not completetly out of the realm of possibility according to some...but I tend to agree that he will not go in 4th, likely 5th or more likely the 6th..

On mobile, so not a big write up, but with the 132 pick, the 49ers select John Miller, OG, Louisville. One of the best players available and at a position of need.

With the 133rd selection the Denver Broncos select :Ben Koyack TE Notre Dame. Great size at 6'5 for a TE, very good blocker but is raw as a receiver. He has the ability to be a very good TE in the league with the right coaching. The Broncos need to replace Julius Thomas who went to Jacksonville via free agency. Manning should help him adjust to the next level. This is a big position of need.

Seattle picks, S, Kurtis Drummond, Michigan State.

From CBS:

STRENGTHS
: Rallies to the ball with active range and discipline. Coordinated body control to flip and stick with receivers downfield. Nice timing in coverage to play the ball in front of him to knock down throws at the catch point (33 career passes defended). Aggressive angles with heady anticipation vs. the run, reading, closing and arriving with a head of steam.
Nice job keeping contain and leveraging the field in space. Competes with the ball in the air, showing top confidence with the ballskills to make acrobatic plays. Senior captain and vocal team leader of the secondary. Three-year starter (35 career starts) with consistent production, finishing about the team leaders in tackles and interceptions the last two seasons.
WEAKNESSES: Lean body type with average-at-best muscle tone. Allows receivers to box him out, especially in jump-ball situations. Lacks ideal speed to recover after false steps, lacking hip burst and footwork to play tight man coverage downfield.
Doesn?t play with explosive athleticism or consistent instincts, which can be exposed when left on an island against the pass. Won?t consistently get his head turned in coverage and will get grabby vertically, leading to clear interference penalties. Lacks heavy hands to work his way through the trash and needs to improve his jam technique when asked to play near the line of scrimmage. Only average hand/wrist strength and needs to finish tackles once he makes contact.
