Many current and former Florida State softball players have been making waves this summer on the diamond.

Reigning ACC Pitcher of the Year and three-time All-American Kathryn Sandercock is currently in Dublin, Ireland, with the US National Team ahead of the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Stage 1 event. The event is slated to take place from July 11-15 and features world-ranked No. 1 Team USA, No. 3 Chinese Taipei, No. 9 Australia, No. 16 Great Britain, No. 17 Ireland and No. 43 Botswana. Sandercock was selected as an alternate to join the 16-player roster in Ireland. The full schedule for the event can be found here. Sandercock will return from Ireland and will prepare for the Athletes Unlimited Championship season which will begin on July 28 in Rosemont, Ill.

Current Seminoles Madi Balk and Jaysoni Beachum have been spending their summer as members of the Manatee Squeeze in the Florida Gulf Coast League. Beachum has been very impressive at the plate going 16-for-25 (.640) with 21 RBI. Balk has appeared in 28.1 innings for the Squeeze.

Former Seminole Carsyn Gordon helped the Puerto Rican National Team to a gold medal at the Central American and Carribean Games in San Salvador this past week. Gordon drove in a run in the gold medal game to help Puerto Rico to a win over Cuba.

Former Rawlings Gold Glove winner and member of the 2018 National Championship team Jessi Warren had a very successful season in Athletes Unlimited. Warren finished the season hitting .343 (11-for-32) with 10 RBI and four home runs. Warren was also named the Defensive MVP for the season.

Former All-ACC pitchers Caylan Arnold and Danielle Watson represent FSU on the Florida Vibe. Arnold holds a 3.13 ERA in 22.1 innings pitched while recording 28 strikeouts. Watson has pitched 25.1 innings while recording 22 strikeouts.

Former Nole Elizabeth Mason recently signed with the Texas Smoke in the Women's Professional Fastpitch league and has helped the Smoke to a league-best 11-3 record.
