US Embassy Re-Opening in Havana

Businesses certainly seem excited about it

I'll be on the first cruise over there.

Heck, I was literally ON a cruise offshore from Havanna as the ship was going all the way around Cuba to get down to Cozumel the day they announced they were reopening relations. We literally watched it on the tv in the cabin at night. It would make more sense for us to have stopped off in Cuba for a day. So I'm sure the cruise ships will immediately use it as a stopping off point. Cozumel and the Caymans will be fine but I bet Belize and Honduras are vigorously funding anti-Cuba SuperPacs to keep their tourism industry going (if not, I'll start one and let them fund it).

I almost went to Cuba from Panama on my Peruvian passport when I was a kid. But couldn't get it all worked out. 90 miles from Miami. What is it, a 3 hour flight from the population centers along the east coast. Because it is so close to Florida, you won't have as much of an issue getting construction equipment and material as you do on other islands. There is a going to be a mad rush to build it up...
