What chance does Aguayo have of being drafted tonight

A second round selection of a kicker is almost unheard of, but I really don't understand why.
That is a position that is critical to a winning season: Involved in field goals, extra points,
and kick offs. The Bucs did well in grabbing this guy. With any luck, it is a position
that they won't have to worry about for the next 10 years or more.

I think the real key is to get performance for value. The difference in kickers at that level isn't all that great. Of course there are "clutch" guys and so forth but the vast majority perform with little variability. Essentially the Bucs can saved $$ by going this route, which makes it a smart move. The NFL basically boils down to:

Good coaching (the single biggest differential IMO)
Favorable schedule & home advantage
Paying less than the average for a guy who produces the average or better
