The story of the unfortunate incident was posted on Reddit by user FalloutBoS, who told the story so others would not repeat the fatal mistake.

It appears that the problem arose as a result of the explicit images being saved into the 'My Pictures' folder, which the software draws on when it automatically builds slideshows.

'Loaded up WIN 10 last night and left it on to do its thing,' the user wrote.

Woke up to wife asking why I set it to rotate all my porn images right on the desk top view.'

The incident seems to have landed the man in trouble with his wife, who was seemingly unaware of his porn collection.

But despite the nasty surprise, the user still seems to have no idea how to deactivate the feature, so has abandoned the computer instead.

'I have no idea how to shut that feature off and that computer is staying shut down until I do. Free windows and a free trip to the doghouse. Thanks Microsoft!' he wrote.

I'm missing something. Is this a cloud synching thing? I have not seen any slideshows, but my machines go to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity.

Porn images stored on the computer? Seems like someone is still stuck in 1995.

Who puts their porn in the My Pictures folder? You hide it it something that looks like a system folder so your wife doesn't find it when she's snooping.

Some people have a bigger issue with Google cloud backups
