No Woman, No Cry - Bob Marley & the Wailers
Stay With Me - The Faces
Wasted on the Way - CSN&Y

If I was to answer again in 15 minutes, I'd likely come up with 3 different answers

Some others that could easily make the list are

Chloe Dancer( Crown of Thorns) Mother Love Bone
Good Hearted Woman- Waylon and Willie
Cheyenne -George Strait
Running to Stand Still- U2
Purple Rain- Prince
Mother- Pink Floyd
A Day in the Life- Beatles
Slide Away- Oasis

Estranged- GNR
Lithium- Nirvana
Much Too Young- Garth Brooks

1) Come Undone - Duran Duran
2) Cold Hart Bitch - Jet
3) My Way - Frank Sinatra

Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield
Sweet Disposition - The Temper Trap
The Riddle - Five For Fighting

Erotic City - Prince
That's Where It's At - Sam Cooke
Pyramids - Frank Ocean

That last one is a huge stretch but I love to hear it whenever it pops up on the iPod.

Pirate Looks at 40-Jimmy Buffet
Dock of the Bay-Ottis Redding
Three Little Birds-Bob Marley

Ask me again tomorrow and it could easily be a different list.

Under Pressure and Bohemian Rap City could make the list. Many Led Zepplin songs could make it as well (Fool in the Rain). Yellow Ledbetter is a great one. Wind Cries Mary is great. Im a big fan of the song "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" by Franky Vallie for my own personal reasons. JayZ, Biggie, and 2Pac has some great songs that you could argue.

Great call...awesome song.

Bernadette - The Four Tops
Just Like Me - Paul Revere and the Raiders
Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood - The Animals

Too Much of Nothing - Peter Paul and Mary
Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore - The Rascals
Shake a Tail Feather - Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels

Impossible. But I'll give you one favorite, and then 2 that simply have enduring personal significance:

2 Sister Golden Hair --America

3. Sweet Caroline -- Neil Diamond

The Greatest Discovery - Elton John (Live in Australia)
Logical Song - Supertramp
Roxanne - Sting (Live at Secret Policeman's Other Ball)

and 100 other tunes...

My answers might be different if I hadn't been on a particularly Pink Floyd and Tool kick lately these past couple of months.

1. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
2. Tool - Parabola
3. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge

Two for Janes Says...that's kind of shocking to me.

Here is an interesting fact for you. The lead singer for counting crows had hair extentions back in the day. The dreads were fake!

Three songs, huh?

Jane Says - Jane's Addiction
Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel
The Man Who Sold The World - David Bowie

I'm leaving out a lot of really good songs here. My favorites probably change all the time.

I agree. I don't really have any truly favorite songs as my personal taste covers a fairly large spectrum. But ive been listening to Woodkid a lot recently. So as it stands right now it would probably be

Woodkid-Run Boy Run
Woodkid-Iron
Woodkid-I Love You

His songs Great Escape and Conquest of Spaces are also great.

If you were to say what songs have I listened to the most over the past decade or two it would probably be

Journey-Separate Ways
Faith No More-Epic
Ram Jam-Black Betty

Eric Clapton - No Alibis
SRV - Coldshot
Radiohead - Reckoner
John Mayer - Belief
Stones - Can't you hear me knocking

Kai, that Jet song is great.

Come Sail Away- Styx

Impossible to choose 3 - so I'll go with work out songs I love lately -

I Can See it in Your Eyes - Men at Work
You F*ing Did It - Jason Mraz
Mortal Combat - no idea who does this /maybe Crystal Method?

to comment on some of the above choices I really like too -

Baker Street - great vibe
He Stopped Loving Her Today - sublime portrayal of unrequited love
Round Here - Just fricken excellent / must have listened that CD 100 times when it came out.
Carry On MWS - can't be played loud enough imo.
The Earth Wind and Fire pick from above - like Gotta Get You Into My Life Better.

Now I have to go see if there is some version of Feelin' that Way by Journey since the above post makes me think there must be.
