Obviously a lot of incredible songs out there.

"What's Goin On?'- Marvin Gaye

"I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"- Hank Williams, but the interpretation by the Holmes Brothers is my starting point.

"The Very Thought of You"- Old standard by Ray Noble, but the version by Albert King makes me a very happy man.

Check out Youtube for the Holmes Brothers and Albert King takes above................................you'll be glad you did. The version of "The Very Thought of You" to check out is off the 'Born Under a Bad Sign' LP. There's several other versions, studio and live", but the best is off that particular record.

I can't believe, I forgot my number one favorite song...just thought of it this weekend.

I'm Not Like Everybody Else by The Kinks.

Baba O'Riley - The Who

Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding - Elton John

Learning to walk again -Foo Fighters

*But like most.......don't have three favorite songs....don't have three favorite people

Wow. 3 is really tough.

Scene Three: II. Fatal Tragedy-Dream Theater
Blackout-Scorpions
Led Boots-Jeff Beck

Really really love the live version of Save Yourself by McAuley Schenker group. Bucket list item is to get to see Micheal Schenker live.

I could easily list 10 different sets of three

Tiny Dancer - Elton John
Wino and I Know - Buffet
In You Eyes - Peter Gabriel

My hard-core choices. Almost Famous is on, reminded me how awesome that song is.

I know, hard to narrow it down to 3 but here goes.....

1. Eyes of a Stranger: Queensryche
2. Interstate Love Song: STP
3. Tom Sawyer: Rush

Honorable mentions
Your Love: The Outfield
Welcome to Planet MF: White Zombie
Wild side: Motley Crue
Dead and Bloated: STP
Anybody Listening: Queensryche

Brandy, You're a Fine Girl - Looking Glass
What Becomes of the Broken-hearted - Jimmy Ruffin
To Love Somebody - BeeGees

Another one that just sticks with me that I doubt any of you have ever heard..........
Crying in a Storm - Anzai Maria (J-pop)

They're all old and yes.........I'm a geezer.

So hard to pick just three...and probably a different answer tomorrow, but here goes:

Sometimes a Fantasy by Billy Joel

Band on the Run by Wings

Lose Yourself by Eminem

The Reflex by Duran Duran

Fly Me to the Moon by Sinatra

And pretty much anything off of The Cure's Mixed Up album.

An odd selection, I'll admit.
