"Really, really proud of this football team. ... Last week we showed we could win a game on a last-second play, through fight and adversity .... the way they prepared throughout the course of the week, continuing to believe, continuing to push, and tonight we played winning football. ... Offensively 7 of 10 on third downs, 3 of 3 in the red zone .... the guys just continued to fight. I thought Jordan did an extraordinary job. .... I thought we were able to keep them in check for the most part. ... These guys, the way that they're investing, the things they're pouring into this program, im so very proud of them. And I think we got better tonight."
"The margins are so small. ... Jarrian is a young man that has really had a tough start to the season ... about two weeks ago he really blocked everything out. He broke the rock tonight because of the way he played, but also the way he prepared. ... Keyshawn, another young man, coming off a really good game last week ... game of inches, ... being able to extend himself to make that catch on third and 12. That was huge. And those things showed up throughout the course of the game. ... These guys have continued to work and continue to battle ... Jarrian was definitely a highlight of that."
On Travis: "I thought he played exceptionally with his eyes. Those things aren't going to show up in the stat line ... all in all, he's competing at a very high level. He's going to continue to get himself to be where he can be 100 percent. I'm excited about his continued development."
On defense: Says UNC has been averaging over 50 points per game at home. "They present some challenges, but even when we didn't start the way we wanted to ... we were going to show our response ... they kept playing, kept trusting the plan that we had. And they showed up big."
"I really believe this is a new team. And that is investing the work in all areas. ... In every aspect they're just trying to push and improve in who they are and what they're about. And they do believe. ... These guys had the choice of what they wanted to do with it ... coaching staff, players, everybody involved, we just kept pushing it. ... Hard work doesn't guarantee success, but it puts you in the best position to achieve it."
"I think we see a confident football team in how they're playing."
"They believe. They believe in what we're doing and how we're trying to do it. Because it's hard. ... There's nothing easy that isn't challenging. ... The work has been there. ... The margins of victory are so very small, but they're sticking to that process. ... The only way we were going to come here and achieve success was we had to be willing to fight. ... When you're down 10-0 on the road, the place was rocking, nothing fazed them."
On the running game: "Those guys are battling (up front). They continue to fight. ... I thought we had a good plan to try to neutralize the pass rush they had. To go through the game and eliminate the negative plays. That was one of the reasons we were 7 of 10 on third down. ... Just really pleased with our offensive line and their continued growth."
"We have been looking for an identity. We know what we want it to be ... the last time we went on the road we turned the ball over six times. It's hard to acheive success when those things show up ... when you're willing to make that type of investment in the film room, ... you start to see that consistency inch up.
"The first quarter went totally opposite of what we wanted to do."
Says the first thing he thought about when the clock hit zero was "we're going to be able to contribute to the sod cemetary. ... it's such a great tradition ... we knew it was going to be a battle, it was going to be a fight, and our guys went and played that way tonight."
"People are going to bring everybody down to try to account for the guys we have in the run game ... and that's going to open some things up ... ... even the receivers blocking in the run game, that opens up things in the passing game ... i think this offense can be on that can really do some wonderful things."
And that's a wrap on Norvell. Very happy dude. With good reason.
Jarrian Jones is first up.

"They just tried me on the go ball. I didn't really like it ... they just threw it up and I was there. Trusted my training and made a play."
These past two weeks we've been locked in on the past two weeks, he let me break the rock. I'm very appreciative of my coaches and teammates for believing in me to make those plays."
"It's a blessing. we know how we can play, and how we're supposed to play ... yeah, I've been battling injuries, it's no excuse but I had to play better. I had to get it back. And we're on a roll now."
"We knew we were going to win."
Said nobody believed in them, and they didn't need anyone believe in them. They believed in themselves.
"I know me. I never needed anyone to validate me. I know me."
That's a wrap on Jarrian Jones.
Jordan Travis is up next.

"It means everything. Our goal every Saturday is to go out and get a win. The boys did it today. They worked really hard all week .. its been a roller coaster, this whole season. .. I'm very thankful they're on my team.
"Coach Norvell works us very hard in the offseason. He always talks about responding. the boys came out today and we responded ... the o line worked really hard today. Really hard. Kept me up. Kept me up."
"Words can't describe how happy I am for them. Outside noise has been getting in their head a lot the last ocuple of years ... they've gotten so much hate the last couple of years ... them being happy, seeing smiles on their faces, just meant the world to me.
"Receivers came up big today. ... That means everything. It keeps the defense honest. The receivers made great plays. Got wide open."
On cutting the sod: "It's a blessing from the man upstairs. .. I'm so thankful. These past couple of months have gotten me a lot closer to God."
"I think confidence is one of the biggest things in football ... running out on the field confident, head up ... thinking about the next play ... lock in. Guys did a great job doing that."
"Treshaun is one of the hardest workers i've ever seen. .. Big time players make big-time plays in big games .... The boys just did great. I'm so blessed to be a part of this Florida State football team."
And that's a wrap for players. Kind of surprising. I'm sure they've got a plane to catch. So hopefully we'll get more players in the coming days.
Thanks for being here!
