Two things about Travis success today...

First, he has been looking to run and that has opened up everything else. He has seemed reluctant to run the ball so far this season. I don't know if he has been trying to prove that he was a passer or the coaches were afraid of getting him hurt but we need his running to improve our running game and to set up our passing game. Well done Travis!

The coaches play calling has been much better today. They have been awful at times this year but Dillingham finally seems to understand who our best players are and what our best plays are. We have to be a run first team to be successful. There cannot be balance between the run and the pass for us to have success. Hopefully we build to that but I don't see that as giving us the best chance to win this year. We have to rely on Corbin, Ward and Travis to run the ball and then hurt teams with play action.

I'm sure it also helps Travis to know that he is unquestionably the number one QB and doesn't have to look over his shoulder. It took the coaches too long to understand this. I hope the rest of Warchant can get on board too!

So I have been very critical of this staff, but

I'm willing to give them another 2 years to prove their worth. It is going to take that long to get some talent at key positions. I'm still very doubtful about Fuller, and feel like he is gone after the Florida game. Anyway how can we really judge this coaching staff with the lack of talent we currently have? Then throw in all of the injuries we have to key players every week. Just not a recipe for success. We are so thin on defense for the UNC game. I'm sure this game will get ugly very quick. I will watch as long as I can stomach it. Go Noles!!
