that the administration stepped in and forced the issue with hiring of Coordinators? Does MN keep getting a pass? I guess the bean counter AD is not going to do anything. He is just riding it out covering his tracks. In my view, if MN is going to save himself, he needs to can one of the Coordinators asap and another soon after. But he hired them and to can them now so soon is an indictment on his ability to lead and hire so we just stubbornly march on. The schedule is about to get much tougher and there will be some games where we got no chance to win. It will be a matter of how bad we lose. At least, if we got some splash with hiring high-profile, stud Coordinators, I see it as the only way the recruiting class may stay together. Other programs are recruiting hard against our Coordinators and they are not lying. We can't have a coaching staff from top to bottom with guys with training wheels on.

How many of you had a very uneasy feeling when he lined up to kick the final field goal? He is so inconsistent that I cannot understand why he is our starting kicker. He hurt us in two of our losses on very make able kicks. The announcers were saying he is our starter, despite Grothaus having a stronger leg. More accurate? Grothaus was no star, but I don’t remember him missing a kick in each of our first 5 games.

I like the emphasis on the run in between the tackles as that seems to be one of the few things we actually do well

conceptually, I liked the bubble screens as a complement to that as you get to front 7 going side to side over and over, weakening them when you hit them up the middle

but the in game play calling wasn’t the best in the plays weren’t called and ordered for appropriate down/distance/field position.

even worse, the WR blocking was flat out awful. If we’re going to go with this offense this season, which again I believe makes sense, thr WR and TE on the edges better damn well block with a little more effort and intensity than yesterday

19.5 sacks in his first 33 games. 2nd in Panther history. Guy named Peppers. Panthers love him.

We gave up approx 400 yards and 30 points to a very bad Syracuse team. Didn’t turn them over (not counting Hail Mary INT) despite 23 pass attempts and them not being a passing offense.

Played pretty well against the RB rushing attack, but gave up way too much to their QB on the ground: 140 yards and 3 TDs.

Didn’t give up any big plays in the air, didn’t have any stupid mental penalties and had a lot of good 3rd and 4th down stops.

Overall grade: C+

Syracuse was among the nations leaders in both TFL & Sacks coming into the game yesterday. We allowed 4 TFL / 2 sacks with a very banged up line. We also averaged 6.7 yards per rush on the day.

I’ll be curious to see what PFF says. I know Travis helped things, looking for like his old self, but no question he could’ve gotten rid of the ball on at least one of the sacks.

Progress, my friends. Be encouraged by progress.

Their approach and attitude is something the entire team needs to embody. Listening to them speak in the postgame interview and also reading their body language lets me know they will not let this defense be satisfied with that performance. Now will we improve is a completely different story, but the attitude and approach is on point!

We are getting better each week. Players are improving. We have a young not too talented team. Recruiting is going very well. Future is bright.

Both QBs appear to be less than 100% healthy at any time this season. Neither of their faults and both are exceptional athletes. MM does not have escapabilty, meaning he does not have a “get off first step” or the burst of speed to quickly allude a defender. JT has magician like escapabilities and this not a demeaning statement about MM nor a glowing compliment of JT. This is safety issue for MN with MM as QB, any team can blitz to sack MM. If designed, MM can certainly run for positive yardage. Unfortunately we can’t combine the two QBs to have quick decision making QB with a keen ability to extend plays.

The ACC will more than atone for not calling holding during our last drive.
They had better be coaching up the offensive line to expect any semblance of a hold being called.
Just the opposite to be expected of their offensive line versus our defenders.

Nole fans.......We have two choices.......whine and run, or be a loyal fan base. Stay with me.

We all see the challenges. It's hard to watch. And we expect our players and coaches to do better.

Well.......fans are part of the team too. We are where we are as a program. Keeping the fan base strong will pay off on the long run!

The players and coaches need us now more than ever.
