FSU and UF tied at 1-1, but very easily could be FSU 2-0 if not for a gate comeback in set 1. Wins over the gates in this sport have been rare in recent years, so this would be huge.

Worst offensively coached game I've ever watched.

1) Jimbo really got up his own ass, we get our second string QB forced into action and Jimbo turns into Mike Leach Air Raid.

2) Jimbo needs to quit calling plays...he takes too long and the QB always looks lost and rushed.

3) We won today in spite of Jimbo.

4) Each season Jimbo seems to have one game and he's just s----y all around.

5) One bad game my ass.

6) No one who has the best RB's in the SEC comes out passing every 1st down except Jimbo. All the while our backup QB is spraying the ball all over the place.

The coaches don’t! They keep trying to defend we the indefensible.

Julian Lewis, class of 2026. Seems like a low risk/high reward stunt. If he busts they pull the ‘ship and quietly move on. But they have the inside pole for a kid who could potentially be great. Who knows? Interesting move.

I've been on the TC for lots of years and watch how Dot and JC predict games. They both are pretty realistic and will call against FSU when warranted. I'm with them in predicting a win against WF this week and think this will be a good day for MM and our wide receivers. We'll see. Go NOLES.

What’s your analogy?

To me, it’s like having a wife who’s a drunk that can look ok at times and if you hide her without getting her real help, people don’t notice her drinking problem as much but it’s ultimately going to rear it’s ugly head. Last season she fell on her face numerous times but looked great that one night out against UNC. After several more faceplant blackouts, she fortunately didn’t get to go out on a few of the last remaining big nights (Covid cancellations), so people kind of forgot about her.

Nobody saw her in the off-season, but she apparently stayed off the sauce and did a few things to improve her personal health. She looked pretty good somehow her first night out this year, but then last Saturday when we thought she was recovering, she had one too many and it was all over as she had her worst night ever. She needs real help from the bottom up and for the masking of the issue to be stopped. I’m not sure she’s surrounding herself with the right people, so some or all of those folks may need to change. We all know her potential deep down, but let’s get her the real help she needs so she can realize the potential instead of kicking the can down the road thinking things are going to just magically change by doing the same thing over and over again in the same vicious cycle.

2 and done coaching hires have depleted our recruiting and roster.

We all knew this is a rebuilt and last year was year zero (or worse). Yes losing to FCS is terrible but honestly that’s been the trajectory over last few years. This is a team that has been very down for awhile and it’ll take a year or two to climb.

I sincerely hope no recruits or families visit the Tribal Council. The best thing for FSU is a stable, patient and supportive fanbase that can unconditionally support the team while it gets better. This is year ONE so let’s act like it… coaches and players are allowed to get better. If by the end of 2022 they haven’t, then it’ll be time for another conversation.

Apparently he had battled cancer for years. One of my favorite comedians, loved his deadpan delivery. Achieved fame on SNL by continually lambasting O.J. Simpson on Weekend Update. That actually got him canned because NBC head Don Olmeyer was a buddy of O.J. and had him fired. He also did a great Burt Reynolds on the Jeopardy spoofs hosted by Will Farrell as Trebek. He and another comic favorite Dennis Miller both hosted Weekend Update on SNL. RIP

How many years does he get? 2 more years at the very least? Folks, you may not like Fuller, Dillingham etc… but this is ALL on Norvell. I have never in all my 33 years as an FSU fan saw a team so unprepared to play a football game. I don’t know if I have ever saw any other team so unprepared for that matter. Norvell has won only 3 games here and this is not some daunting conference. No way he keeps this locker room together after last night. It would be a challenge for a seasoned well rounded coach let alone this staff.

As FSU volleyball takes on Florida at 6 pm in the Tully. The game will also be broadcast live on the ACC Network.

11:10 — And they never really did get back to good on good. All offense working against scout team defense and same with the defense. We’ll be interviewing Norvell and players shortly.

10:50 — Hasn’t been a whole lot to share for the last hour … been mostly working on either individual stuff, special teams or against the scout team. Would think we’ll get some 11-on-11 with the starters soon.

9:45 -- Milton is a tough guy to figure out sometimes. He did not look good at all on his first series of 11-on-11 outside. Should have had one pass picked, but Dent dropped it. Did hit Helton for about 10 yards on a scramble pass, but then got sacked on his next play. Then his second series got off to another bad start, as he air-mailed a bubble screen. But just when you wonder about him, he throws a PERFECT pass to a covered Pokey Wilson for a 35-yard gain. Then the next play, he rolls out and throws another pass to Pokey for a TD.

Jordan, by the way, looked good on his drive with the twos. Had one nice run for about 20, and he completed short passes to Treshaun Ward and Darion Williamson.

9:25 -- Meant to mention, the enthusiasm seems to be very good this morning. Lots of energy. Yesterday wasn't bad, but it wasn't to this level -- at least early.

And don't see any orange jerseys today, so that's a good thing.

9:23 -- Milton ran the two-minute offense at the start of practice and had a couple of nice plays. He hit Malik McClain for about a 10-yard gain, and then later he hit Pokey Wilson on a short pass, and Wilson made a defender miss and picked up a big gain.

The rest of the passes (four or five) were off the mark ... either nothing was open, or there was miscommunication between him and the receivers (and one time with Toafili).

Milton was the only QB in that drill, but they all are here and participating.

Is it weird that I am not really worried about what happened last week? In my head I think it might be a good thing. The can compete with a top 10 team and lose 2 a fsc school. The game still pisses me off greatly but I am not worried about it for some reason. Maybe this weekend will either justify myself not being worried or the sky could be falling and I will be worried to death about the future for FSU. Anyone else feel the same way?

1) To be honest, I really thought Norvell would, at the very least have a disciplined team. We are not.
2) We can’t afford to fire another coach…I don’t think. And I serious doubt we could hire the kind of coach we need to resurrect the program.
3) No matter what we do, that loss will make an already bad situation far worse.
4) How do you keep recruits and boosters at this point? I’m a lifer, I’ll hang in there but I can’t imagine that’ll be common.
5) I never truly thought FSU football had died until tonight. I’m not saying it will never come back to prominence but it may not. That loss was that bad.

Haven't seen him lately...

Someone here described what we're seeing on the boards as "panic porn" and now I can't unsee it. There are so many posters who seem to be wallowing in the stuff...maybe even reveling in it. There are some posters who are NOWHERE to be found when we have a good game, or maybe they'll post one or two things reluctantly. But when we lose? Or when we look bad winning? Those same posters are on this site nonstop, fingers flailing on the keyboards, talking about firing this person and that person, kicking this kid and that kid off the team, how this play should have been run instead of THAT play, how so and so should have been on the field instead of that other guy...

Damn, guys.

I honestly question whether or not some of you wouldn't prefer to just continue having something to bitch about. Hell, it seems we have more traffic than we did when we won the title in 2013.

Not top 25, but I'll take it. Haven't seen a single vote in quite some time. Climbing...

I am not one of those overly optimistic people but I do think the players are skilled enough to beat Wake. I am hoping that last week was a fluke that was needed to spark the team. OK, go ahead and start responding like I am your worst FB friend.

Coach Bowden will be honored at Samford. So happy for Coach Bowden and the Bowden family!!!
