    COVID cancellations coming

Stop with the nonsense! The vaccine prevents most infections and by proxy infections too. 90% vaccinated multiplied by 90%+ efficacy = very small chance of it becoming an issue at that rate of vaccination.

    Did you get vaccinated yet?

Thank you for deciding to potentially expose my children to this virus. It's great how you are freeloading on others who are getting the vaccine without care for others who are unable to do the right thing.

Studies on effectiveness of mask wearing

You continue to miss what you shared is editorialized opinion that references scientific pieces of scientific studies to fit a point of view. When you take part of a study out of context of it's specific conditions and apply it to different conditions you are not following science. The science...

    Pulling down the mask

I already responded to that thread you started after reading the articles on the studies sourced and noting the takeaways shared weren't understanding the research or at the very best just telling incomplete truths that don't tell the whole story. There were some interesting findings but they...

Studies on effectiveness of mask wearing

Exactly. And if you actually read and understand some of the articles sourced and their relationship to our current pandemic today, you'd see why the article OP posted or the one from aaps has an agenda. These sites aren't understanding the research or at the very best just telling incomplete...

    Pulling down the mask

I assuming it could work both ways, however, I think the research on this was focused on looking at the impact of the wearer who contracted it.

    Pulling down the mask

Great question. Yes, if you were to contract fewer virus, which a cloth face covering can achieve, there is evidence that the lower viral load can minimize the severity of COVID.

    Pulling down the mask

This is patently false. Not only are cloth masks useful for lowering spread to others, but they also can minimize severity of COVID's impact if contracted. Please do research before posting about masks.

Potential flaws in Myocarditis researched cancellations based on

Well according to research reviewed in 2018, the Hong Kong flu was one was the mildest pandemic in the 20th century. My own two cents are it was less severe 34k estimated deaths and information travelled much slower, so coordinated efforts that would have been needed to quash it like other...

Potential flaws in Myocarditis researched cancellations based on

Right. I wouldn't say WW1 is modern day, but it is more well known than the Spanish flu. H1N1 is estimated to have killed ~13k people, which isn't very comparable to COVID unless you're saying it's 15 times less deadly, but at least it's modern day. Hong Kong flu, honestly, I'm not too...

Potential flaws in Myocarditis researched cancellations based on

In the modern day context, there aren't any similar pandemics that are good comparisons to those in the USA... i.e. highly contagious, not contained, relative high death toll. Deaths from wars, on the other hand, while not ideal, are among the few accessible historical references many can glean...
