Quick update on ACC Network gaining full coverage of women's basketball tournaments. No more distribution issues with Bally:

ACC Network will become the broadcast home for the conference’s women’s basketball and baseball tournaments, beginning in 2023.

In previous years, 11 women’s basketball tournament early-round games and 12 baseball tournament early-round games were carried by Bally Sports South, which created some confusion for viewers who were trying to find those games (not to mention ongoing distribution issues still facing the Bally Sports RSNs).

Going forward, all of those women’s basketball and baseball postseason games will be broadcast by ACC Network, while ESPN or ESPN2 will continue to carry the championship games. The transition was the result of an agreement between ESPN and Raycom Sports, which still has a small batch of ACC rights.

Cleaning up the uneven distribution of those women’s basketball and baseball postseason games evolved into a growing priority for ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips, who is in his second year leading the conference. Phillips worked with the conference’s media rights partner, ESPN, and Raycom, a longtime ACC distributor and production partner, to find a better solution.
