I have received a personal request to post a thread on my menu for tomorrow which I have done for a few years...
But before I start let me wish all of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving šŸ¦ƒšŸ½ and safe journey if you are traveling to celebrate the day.

I started yesterday with baking a pumpkin pie and also whole spiced baked apples - I make everything the way my Mom did - no frozen pies here!
Turkey (I do not brine my turkey)
Cornbread/Sausage stuffing (not dressing)
Mashed potatoes - at least 5 - 7 lbs. worth
Fresh green beans (cooked with a little bacon)
Sweet potato casserole
Fresh cranberry orange relish
Stuffed celery
Individual side salads
One mashed rutabaga (in memory of my Daddy - itā€™s good drowned in gravy)
Homemade giblet gravy
Hot Rolls/butter
Pumpkin Pie
Pecan Pie
Ice cream
Baked Cinnamon Spice Apples
Rules:
Must be made in enough quantity for the most important part - leftovers. šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø
1. Ham is only for Easter at my house.
2. Prime Rib or Beef Tenderloin is Christmas. With Yorkshire pudding šŸ˜‹
3. Butter must be used in large quantities to make everything delicious.
Carb comas usually follow.

This reminds me of GrandPa Jones on Hee Haw! "Grandpa! Grandpa! What's for Supper?"
Thanks for sharing your culinary and fine dining tastes with us.
And don't forget the Cauuuulktail Sticks!

We'll be hosting ten people tomorrow.

Deep fried turkey
Ham (wasn't planned until our party grew. I just bought a hog and the ham was already available.)
Hashbrown casserole
Cornbread dressing (hard to have stuffing when you're frying the turkey)
Greenbean and corn casserole
Brussel sprouts
Corn pudding
Deviled eggs
Stuffed celery/olive tray
Rolls

Dessert
Pecan pie
Key lime pie
Pea Pickin' cake

All suggestions sound mouth-watering good. And to all Seminoles hosting a large gathering
of Thanksgiving guests with different points of view, a reminder to follow the great Phyllis Diller's advice:
Serve the meal. Clear the table. Bury the dead.

Damn. You and The Tradition should combine your efforts and invite all the rest of us sometime.

Wellā€¦the banana cream pie is gone. These ravenous hyenas in my house destroyed it before I was even able to make the second pot of coffee.
So at my house while I was outside minding the smoker and setting up the turkey fryer, all the kids and grandkids decided to eat two pies for breakfast. After we ate one of them asked what's for desert.
