Why is the Atlantic so good and the Coastal so awful. If you look at the Atlantic, you see these records:
Syracuse 3-1
NC State 4-0
Boston College 3-1
Clemson 3-0
FSU 3-0
Wake 2-2
Louisville 1-3
In the Coastal you have:
Virginia Tech 2-2
Miami 3-0
Virginia 1-3
Duke 3-1
Pitt 2-1
Georgia Tech 2-2
North Carolina 3-1
Some of it is scheduling but I think the 5 best teams in the Atlantic are far better than the 5 best teams in the Coastal and it isn't even close. If the Coastal were more like the Atlantic the ACC would be a much better conference. It is the Coastal that isn't carrying its weight.
