We recently received a list of subscribers that appear to have multiple users accessing their account. Some of this may have occurred by accident (somebody got a hold of your login info without your knowledge), while others are probably sharing their login info. with friends and/or relatives.
We will be sending emails to the subscribers that appear to have the highest incidence of multiple users on one account. We are doing this to encourage the account holder of record to update his or her password on Warchant. * Many of these emails bounce because because of changed accounts or never make it to the destination because of spam filters. As such, whether you receive an email or not, if you suspect your account might be shared by others we strongly encourage you to update your password.
Updating Password on Warchant.com:
This can be done easily by going to Warchant.com’s front page, clicking on Member Services on the top right, and then the Change User Info link. From there you will be able to change your password.
If you are sharing your account with others
If you are knowingly sharing your account with others, we are offering an amnesty period and won't penalize you or restrict your account for the time being. So now is the time to update your password and encourage your friends or relatives to get their own accounts. Here's a link to a free trial deal they can get in on.
However, if the abuse continues we may eventually have to limit the account's access to the site's premium features, including the Tribal Council.*
*We aren't on a witch hunt and are only looking closely at accounts that show obvious abuse.
