Exactly. I think the CTE research may in fact be an inaccurate and / or in it's infancy.

INteresting the article even says that they haven't gotten a brain that young to look at that had CTE. There may be other causes.

THey have only studied 468 other brains at that specific facility.

they haven't done enough research to support any of their statements on cte. Maybe people with this brain issue/type are predisposed to like contact sports. Maybe there are other environmental issues that lead to this that lead people to be successful athletes. They just don't know half as much as they lead on.

And I'm not letting my kids play football.

Once his father passed away when he was 15 or 16 it unfortunately all went down hill. Read a real interesting read on him about a year ago. Reporter that covered him in HS, reporter that covered him @ UF, then a reporter that covered him in NE. Really got ugly....
