Narduzzi’s staying in 4-3 and not only that he is constantly staying 1 high S. Even though he is living in 1 high safety isn’t hesitating bringing A gap/Double A blitzs to sell out to stop the run. With the Wrs that are out he def adjusted his game plan. This scheme gets exposed throwing slants, drags, crossing routes, curls, delay, TE pop, are the routes you have to run to beat this D. The void behind these LBs is the honey hole. Having success across the middle forces them to lighten the box and go to 2 high S or at least slows that blitzing down a lot. With that said

Now, I’ve always felt JT’s height is his biggest weakness ( VERY few weaknesses). His ht really affects ability to be consistent across the middle, which is why he throws the vast majority of his throws are from hash to sideline or has to be a deep middle route. Pretty much all short QBs struggle with this due how tall OL are. Typcially, they have to slide left or right to find a throwing lane in order to see the middle this also why you see a lot of 5 step drops end up being 7-8 step drops to help with seeing over big OL. You will notice in all the games his throws across the middle usually ends with a circus catch or WR takes big hit or really bad throw / extremely close INTs. We’ve got to lighten the box for the run game to blow up and that’s not happening against 6 or 7 man box. Screens are great, but you have to tread lightly. While they are great “surprises” they also have the potential turn INTs in to big TDs or Fumble from big hit.
