UT coach totally blew it. Got way too sonservative after scoring to go up 12 with 10+ minutes in the game. Butch Jones and his staff should have:
1) Gone for a 2 point conversion after scoring to go up 12.
2) went almost exclusively to all running plays leaving the Gators with 4 minutes on the clock after they scored to cut the Vols lead to 6 points.
3)For some reason after successfully blitzing UF's young QB into a 3 rd & 14th, the Vols only rush 3 guys on 4th down giving Grier time to hit an open guy that goes for the game winner.
4) Not on the UT head coach-- the head linesman should have reviewed the late first down pass to see if the UT tight end was out of bounds. The clocked should have stopped which would have saved another timeout.
Jimbo and Noles fans the morale of the story is that playing " not to lose" can cost you a ball game that Tennessee should have won.and whilst the Gators were very fortunate to win today, but their defense will keep them in a lot of games. We will need to put lots of pressure on UF's OL and offensively are likely to find it pretty tough going against UF defense.
