The title of the Yahoo article is “Bill Belichick made a simple change to his offensive line that could revolutionize the NFL.” It appears that there are 3-4 factors that led the Pats to doing this, but I’m now wondering if this will trickle down to other NFL teams and ever some NCAA teams. Toward the end of the article it states, “This could mean that the offensive line will eventually be treated a lot more like the defensive line: Certain offensive linemen with specific skill sets will be brought in exclusively for rushing plays, or goal-line plays, and so forth, just as certain defensive linemen are used for pass-rushing or crowding the box.”

I could see this eventually happening here and there although for it to sweep all college and pro teams, it’s going to have to first create a significant amount of O-Line success for the Pats for that to even be considered by other coaching staffs. Thoughts?
