Other than a few drive-by smack talkers from rival fans, this board is fairly well behaved. But there is one issue that keeps popping up over and over and over. We've said it time and time again but it doesn't seem to sink in. When there is a premium article on the front page of do not start a post about it on this board.

I know a lot of you are innocently posting about what is a story on the front page and aren't purposefully "fishing" for premium content, but that's what effectively happens. And if there happens to be a free story on the same subject elsewhere on the web, just post a link. Don't make vague comments about seeing it somewhere else.

We are making an effort to move major football stories to free content as soon as the news becomes generally known on the web (like after we broke the John Lilly to UGA story), but before that happens, please refrain from posting about those stories on this board.

There are other major sites in this network like that have no free football message board at all. I don't want to shut down this board but if we have to spend too much time deleting posts and warning people on this issue we will do it. We shut down the free recruiting board for the same reason.

We don't mean to punish the 90% of you that are following the rules but this is a business and if a free message board becomes more of a hassle than it's worth we will take it down.
