I had made reservations at a Tally hotel for Thursday through Saturday nights to be able to go to the softball games. I am a softball season ticket holder and a member of the Softball Coaches Club. With concern about the weather reports, I cancelled my reservations. My heart ached for the decision makers who had to make the tough decisions about when and if to play the games. I thought about all of the folks besides the players, coaches and fans who were disappointed and frustrated. The support staff, concession workers, volunteers, custodians, and even the umpires probably didn't have a great experience. The softball fan group is small and I am new to the in the stands experience. Those Seminole softball ladies are such a delight to watch and support. Their biographies indicate that they are talented and smart. The way they conduct themselves on the field and in interviews fills my 1963 graduate heart with pride. Thanks Osceola for creating a forum that recognizes FSU women's sports.
