FSU sports information:

The No. 21 Florida State volleyball team (21-9, 13-7) closed out its regular season on a high note with a four-set win (25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18) over Wake Forest (13-18, 5-15) on Friday afternoon at Reynolds Gym in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The first set was tight from start to finish with neither team able to create any sort of separation. Ultimately, the Seminoles got the upper hand in the final part of the set as they scored five out of the final seven points to win the set 25-22.

Set two was tight once again, but the Demon Deacons found themselves ahead 17-15 just past the halfway point to force a Seminole timeout. The Noles regrouped and responded with an 8-1 run to extend their lead to five and ultimately take the set 25-20.

Wake Forest jumped out to an early 6-1 lead in the third set, but the Noles rallied back to tie the set at 11. The teams traded points, but the set turned when FSU was called for being out of rotation, so instead of the set being tied at 19, the Demon Deacons took a 20-18 lead. FSU responded with back-to-back points to tie it at 20, but Wake Forest forced a fourth set with a 25-23 win.

The Noles controlled the fourth set from start to finish to avoid any drama in Reynolds Gym as they went on to win the set 25-18 to put the Demon Deacons away. FSU has won 18 consecutive matches against Wake Forest dating back to 2011.

Khori Louis continued her great play with a team-high 15 kills on 23 attempts. Taylor Head was right behind her with 14 kills while Audrey Koenig and Kyleene Filimaua had 13 and 12 kills respectively.

The Noles will learn their postseason fate on Sunday evening. The NCAA Women's Volleyball Selection Show will begin at 6 p.m. on ESPN.

FSU currently ranks 26th RPI and is projected to be sixth seed in the 64-team tournament. The Seminoles have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 14 out of the last 15 seasons.
