If chosen, I have to serve once a week for 3 months.

Federal or state? Federal Grand Juries have a half life of about 50 years, so be prepared.

For me, it was like having a deposition in front of a group of people. There aren't the same rules as when you're testifying in court. In other words, it sucked.

I just saw my sister-in-law and she said her co-worker was on a grand jury in Washington D.C. and has trouble sleeping because of the terrible crimes she saw and read about.

I'm in the Maryland suburbs so hopefully it's a little more civilized.
