In the Bleacher Report regarding recruiting for September - the Winners and Losers category had us in the losers column. I can understand that considering what has transpired with our recruits in September.

The report read, "However, the decommitment of 4-star JUCO linebacker Tyree Horton is the third defection in the last three months. Furthermore, as Josh Newberg of Noles247 notes, commitments such as 4-star defensive end Janarius Robinson are on shaky ground."

I am not arguing with the report. What I am wondering is, with all the talking heads saying that the ACC will probably be left out of the playoff picture this year, are these kid defecting because of the weak ACC. If I was a top rated HS recruit, why would I want to play for any ACC team if we may be the conference that is left out. Why not go for a sure thins like the SEC, the PAC-12, or even the Big 10 and Big 12?

I know we put a lot of kids in the NFL, but these kids are also thinking National Championships now, not the weak ACC.

One last note, these are high school kids and they change their minds all the time and decommit. But I am wondering how much of being in the ACC plays in the back of their minds.

Miami sure didn't help thing on national television losing to Cincinnati.
