Win or lose tonight, Kromenhoek's performance may have a very significant impact on how Norvell and the NIL Collective approach the 2025 QB situation. I'm not suggesting that its necessary for Kromenhoek to magically deliver a "300+ yd/3 TD/0 turnover" result to anoint him as the undisputed 2025 QB favorite, but what I hope will happen is; he shows enough scheme knowledge, on-field production and leadership that Norvell is not compelled to dive deeply into the Portal for a $1M+ QB, which, in my opinion, may not be the best allocation of NIL dollars if games are truly won at the line-of-scrimmage.
Assuming (even with FSU's decrepit OL) his performance against a decent gator defense provides Norvell and staff with enough confidence to try to build a 2025 offense around his skill set, would it not be more justifiable to allocate the $1M+ "saved" to secure a serviceable Portal QB (to provide competition) and 2 proven offensive linemen.... preferably Tackles?
