While the offense was riddled with fumbles, and the O-line continued again to massively struggle. . . Especially the left side. . . I thought Luke showed significant progress. Progress not only from previous starts, but during the game.
He threw some absolute bullets, showed mobility, toughness all night as unblocked UF defenders teed-off on him, and began to process much faster.
He did look timid and unsure early, but I liked what I saw as a true freshman playing behind that line.
A transfer QB would be nice to bridge the gap as he continues to develop, but if we don’t land a true top tier QB, I wouldn’t be totally upset if we put more eggs into the OL basket and roll with Luke.
