FSU (14-2, 3-0 ACC) will play host to Clemson (11-4, 2-1) on Thursday at the Donald L. Tucker Center at 6 p.m. (ACC Network Extra).

Florida State is one of three ACC teams undefeated in conference play entering Thursday. The Seminoles are joined by fourth-ranked Notre Dame (3-0) and 19th-ranked Duke (3-0) as the league’s unblemished teams in conference play.

FSU is off to its first 3-0 start in ACC play since the 2008-09 season when it began 6-0 vs. conference opponents.

Freshman guard Ta’Niya Latson is putting up enormous numbers this season, averaging 25.2 points per game. She is one of the country’s most efficient high-volume scorers, averaging 1.05 points per possession with a high usage rate of 34.8 percent.

Despite being a high-octane offense, the Seminoles also know how to defend. In ACC games vs. Miami, No. 13 UNC and Georgia Tech, FSU has held its opponents to just 35.6 percent shooting and 28.8 percent shooting from the outside. FSU is forcing 16 turnovers per game in conference play.

The Seminoles are coming off a 99-58 road win at Georgia Tech on Sunday. FSU delivered a 37-point scoring outburst in the fourth quarter, its highest-scoring quarter vs. an ACC opponent since the current quarters format began in 2015-16.

Florida State has climbed in the most recent Associated Press poll, sitting with the second-most votes outside the AP Top 25 with 29. FSU has garnered an AP Top 25 rank at least once in 14 of the previous 15 seasons.

The Seminoles’ average pace (possessions per 40 minutes) is 79.5 this season.

Thursday’s game against rival Clemson is a Hoops For Troops game to honor the military. Fans can post photos of veterans and active military using #FSUHoopsForTroops to be featured on the videoboard.
