Musical chairs not helping our pitchers.

I get it’s early in the season, but Leonard is cruising through 5 then you replace her. Then use 4 more pitchers in the next two innings?

Im assuming we are trying to get the youngsters some experience against the best.
Kat has not been her dominant self a couple times already this year.
Our hitting today a lot K's against Feramo. She may be the best pitcher in the country but, she made us look pretty bad except for 1 inning.
It was ome of those days. We had several hard hit balls that would have scored runs but, were right at people.
The inning they scored 4 they had a couple bloops, a couple walks and a couple well placed hits.
We have an issue at 3rd. There were a few plays today that Sydney would have likely made. I get it...wouldnt expect someone just to step and fill her shoes but, the dropoff is pretty significant both in the field and at the plate.
Our freshman pitchers were put in tough spots today and did pretty well. A questionable no swing call when Reid was in changed the at bat where she gave up a walk.
I think we will be ok but, from what Ive read we may have the toughest schedule in the country so, we will drop some games. We just need to make sure we dont put ourselves in a bad spot when it comes to the postseason..

Good points, with our schedule we were never going to go undefeated. Kat has definitely been roughed up in every appearance so far and isn't the dominant pitcher she has been. Hopefully that gets better because we will go as far as our pitching takes us. Edenfield has had a slow start as well. But hey we were leading the #2 team through 5 and had a very good chance to win the game. Early in the year, but we need to stick to two or three pitchers and go from there. Running 6 and 7 pitchers out per game isn’t the answer imho. I get limiting pitches, but there’s a fine balance in not getting in a groove either.

I agree. Im guessing Lonnie wants to get an idea of what we got in the circle.
Its all about matchups and the ump behind the plate.
Mack got roughed up yesterday but, the ump tkday liked the low ball which is good for her.
I would think Sandercock will still win a lot of games this year. Reid looks pretty darn good as a freshman. Balk is decent but, needs a low strike zone as well as Leonard.
