I was shocked when they said he was 88! I had no idea he was that old. Jeez, he was 12 years old when I was born, and I'm REALLY old!

Edit: He was actually 15! Yay, I'm not as old as I thought!

Also a helicopter pilot and rugby player. To get his first song recorded, he landed a helicopter on Johnny Cash's lawn and gave him a tape.

Well, they do kinda "drop like flies" when they are over 80 years old.
Kris, Pete, John, etc.

The spooky part is having several friends that are 80-ish. I don't (yet).

My Grandmother lived to 102 and was sharp until the end.

Poor Mom had strokes which impacted her faculties at the end when she passed at 90.

I'm not sure but about 6 weeks before she died, I went to the hospital to visit her and she asked me: "Is Jesus Christ still in the room?"

I was agnostic at the time and responded: "I'm not sure. I can't see him."
