Florida State junior guard Ta’Niya Latson has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, and Duke forward Toby Fournier earned Rookie of the Week honors for games played between Dec. 2-8.
ACC women’s basketball weekly awards are voted on by the league’s Blue Ribbon Panel.
Latson narrowly missed back-to-back 40-point performances last week after scoring 38 points at Tennessee on Tuesday and a conference-best 39 points against SMU on Sunday. The Miami, Florida, native became the first player to score 30 or more points against the Lady Vols since January 30, 2023, as she finished 15-for-25 (60.0 percent) from the field and knocked down three triples. On Sunday, Latson finished 13-for-26 (50.0 percent) shooting en route to a career-high 39 points, one point shy of the program record. The guard’s back-to-back performances are the most points scored by a Seminole in consecutive games.
Fournier posted a career-high 27 points in Duke’s 81-59 victory over Virginia Tech on Sunday. The Toronto, Ontario, native finished 12-for-17 (70.6 percent) from the field and pulled down a career-high nine rebounds in her first career ACC game.

North Carolina is No. 14, NC State is No. 22 and Georgia Tech debuted in the poll for the first time since the 2021-22 season at No. 25.
