"This team knows how to win!" Jimbo Fisher after we we beat Clemson in 2014. Jameis was disciplined and benched. But Maguire stepped up and led an inspired FSU team, coming from 7 down in the 4th quarter to win by six in OT, keeping alive a 19 game winning streak. That team was used to winning, and despite a porous defense seemed to find ways to win.
7 years late,r our 2021 team is so used to losing they seem to find new ways to fail. This team has the athletes, and we now have good coaches, what we don't have is a team that believes in itself. It's almost as if when we are on the verge of pulling one out our players focus on what could go wrong this time, and sure enough it's a self-fulfilled prophecy.
Maybe Norvell should try hypnosis.
