It is being reported from several sources that Fox is about to announce a new contract with the Big Ten that basically gives them rights to televise half of the football and basketball games over a fixed period of years. Rumors are that the number is big. The rumor two years ago was that the numbers would be big, but recently those expectations were lowered. We shall see.
According to the reports, the Big Ten will announce this deal and then work on the other 50%, which may or may not be a combination of ESPN and CBS (which currently televises B10 football and basketball, respectively).
