Why is bourbon better than other US whiskey? What about Yippee Ki Yay

Is Rye whiskey better than Canadian Whiskey or Tennessee Whiskey?

Crown Royal or Jack Daniels?

What goes best with a cigar ….

Russell’s Reserve. Single barrel picks ideally.

I find blantons overrated. Wellers is boring. Except 107.

old forester 1920 is the best bourbon that isn’t overly allocated.

Depends which Weller you’re talking about.

Rye over Canadian whiskey all day.

Blended whiskeys are trash. Single Malt’s for the win.

If I am not sipping on Bulleit Rye or Woodford Reserve Rye, I like Eagle Rare, Woodford Reserve or Basil Hayden’s.

As for scotch, I can go on for hours, but go to is Macallan 12.

About to give Japanese Scotch a try.
 
I'm a Weller special reserve guy, but i did just pick up 2 bottles of Blantons. I always take the first sip neat and then add 1 or 2 cubes of ice. Been building up my collection as of late. Just added Buffalo Trace, E.H. Taylor small batch, four roses small batch, sazerac 6 year, and of course the 2 bottles of Blantons.

Weller is damn near impossible to find in VA.

Basil? Bleh that’s bourbon flavored water. Bulleit Rye is legit though.

I am a fan of many. Like Jefferson’s, Blanton and basil hayden. My favorite is the 10 year basil Hayden.

Don’t have an issue with Basil’s, but Woodford or Eagle Rare are more likely to be found in my liquor cabinet, but for my everyday drinking whiskeys, I stay in that $35-40 price point.

Eagle Rare is good choice - what cigar with your single malt - I prefer a nice Macanudo Prince Phillip or a Fuente Chateau … but will go for a good discounted Dominican rolled

That is a score. I haven't seen Blantons in years.

It's extremely rare, but 3 weeks ago my local store received a case and i missed it.

Always neat, preferably in a GC glass.

Weller Full Proof > Weller 12 for a wheater, Blanton’s being a higher rye mash is a completely different style. Very approachable, delicious. Both are generally overrated and overpriced on the secondary. But I always have a bottle in the cabinet for guests.

Woodford vs Maker’s... neither
Old Forrester vs Jeffersons.... OF 1920 and Jefferson’s Ocean Cask Strength Please!

CR or JD.... JD Single Barrel Heritage.... and it ain’t close.

Yes to Yippee Ki Yay, but hell yes to Midwinter’s

Is rye better than Canadian whiskey? Grab a bottle of Willet 4 year or Pikesville and you tell me

Tennessee whiskey? Only if you like Flinstones in your dram.

you know that I disagree with this completely. Even the old fashioneds we drank during the Clemson game were blah with that bourbon. Haven’t you learned that BT and bowman are much better options??
