Alabama going undefeated this year

Saban mentioned how impressed he was with the dedication of his players and the accomplishment of going undefeated under the circumstances this year.

But I have to wonder if the circumstances of the pandemic actually made the path easier for Alabama to go undefeated this year in comparison to other years. Saban has always been known for instilling discipline in all facets of his program. And this was a year where a team greatly benefitted from discipline. Not to mention that Alabama has all the resources to make a team bubble that much more "bearable" than any other program.

I still give Saban and Bama all the credit for being disciplined and doing what was necessary to stay healthy. I'm just not quite convinced that going undefeated this year was more impressive than going undefeated in "normal" years as I think Saban and Bama had some built in advantages to be successful under the conditions this year, relative to every other school in the country.
