I was a Sgt. E-5 in the Army 1965-68 and served Vietnam 1966-67. After graduating from UWF in 1974 and completing OCS, I was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the Marine Corps 1974-1977 and served with the 3rd Marine Division on Okinawa, Japan. I use to pull for the Army until the Navy started sporting the Marine Corps logo on their uniforms. It was a lot more fun to watch when my loyalty wasn’t split. For those who may not know, Marines like the Navy about as much as Noles like the gators. But as they say, “Once a Marine, always a Marine!” So, Semper Fi! Go Navy! Beat Army!
