The SEC and BIG are at such an incredible competitive advantage making $30-50 million more a year, it’s already ruining the sport. Coupled now within the ability to now pay players, it might as well be semi-professional football. We can’t compete with say a Texas A&M that is budgeting $25-30 million a year for their recruiting efforts, and can poach our best players and coaches as they see fit. That is unfortunately the direction of college football now.

I think the ACC, PAC 12, and what remains of the Big12 should strongly consider breaking off and forming their own league. And sooner than later. If the BIG wants in, let them in too. Otherwise let them be a semi professional league with the SEC. We can go back to what resembles more of what we all know and love as college football. I think this could be a very entertaining, 40 team division of football, where everyone has a legit shot of winning a title. This league is truly national and touches just about every region of the country. Put more of an emphasis on academics, and the other sports like baseball, basketball, soccer, track, etc. Have fair and reasonable rules that are strictly enforced. Level the playing field and point our middle finger at ESPN and the SEC…
