PREMISE 1
It's generally accepted on these boards that our D is more developed/advanced than our O...especially the OL

SO, based on that premise, our OL will likely lose more battles than they win against the Bama DL. That means we can expect very little time for Francois to throw and (thanks to Bama's DL) run blocking by our OL that seldom makes a hole where there's supposed to be a hole.

PREMISE 2
When things DON'T go EXACTLY as planned in Jimbo's offense (which relies on extreme precision) things often stagnate ...UNLESS you have someone who can improvise and overcome with pure talent.

BEST BET
Who has the best chance to be that "eraser" and change the numbers on the scoreboard? Cue Cameron Akers, the best "make something out of nothing" RB on our roster! I believe he's got more "IT" on the offensive side of the ball than any other player. Can make plays running or receiving.

EVIDENCE
He had a RIDICULOUS game in his state title game when EVERYONE knew to key on him. That was the other best team in Mississippi, by the way. Not good comp you say? He also showed he's elite in 5-star camps and in the US Army AA game. The HS game film eye test says this guy is nothing other than an elite explosive weapon on offense. If that wasn't enough, he was also the most electric offensive player in our own spring game. Would've easily ran for 100+ yards if not for the other #3 on the roster (Derwin James).

No disrespect to Patrick, but a power running game isn't going to work against Bama's size up front. I DO think if we get a lead, Jacques could very useful late in the game. But to GET that lead, we'll NEED Cam to be everything we hope he is.
