Cell phone issues

Is your cell service working? If so what carrier do you have and type of phone?
Mine is out, AT&T, iPhone 15

AT&T is reporting outages over a wide area this morning and Verizon and TMobile also having minor issues.

Thats what Fox will blame it on anyway. Could be anything from a solar flare, hacking or someone pushed an update without testing it. Seems it mainly affects phones with a esim though.

My verizon android has worked fine all morning. The guys on the radio are having problems and they have ATT iphones.

No issues for me on AT&T today.

Fewer problems encountered on the West Coast - just a few centered around LA.

It was a very small percentage of ATT customers affected; I have ATT and it was back up and running by 1:00 yesterday. 1st world problems, I know.

What I heard from some IT geeks I know that it was a "update" issue that affected mostly phones with eSIMs. Something about a registry update. That could be IT speak for we have no clue for all I know. I do know that several Federal Agencies are very interested in what happened.
