Jason Staples, former player and great FSU podcaster, stated on his latest podcast that folks on the inside have said that Gavin was our best WR in the spring.
If y'all don't listen to his podcast then you should add it to your rotation. I start each day in the car with Aslan and the Coracle, of course, and then catch up on other FSU stuff. Seminole Headlines is a must. Listen to FSU related Cameron stuff. And have to get the Unconquered podcast (Staples) when he puts them out.
He stated that Terry was up and down in the spring. Dude has massive skillset, but he's still learning the position and is raw. He also thinks that Matthews is going to be huge for us this year getting a ton of short passes in space.
But the Gavin comment from him really goes against what most Warchant posters seem to think.
And as for the spring game ... the coaches steered the draft of teams to get the match-ups that they wanted to see. Blackman had the much harder defense to face on purpose so that they could see him playing against our better defenders. Gavin was going up against scholarship CBs while Terry was facing walk-ons.
Staples is very high on our WR postions and thinks that it is going to be very good. He also likes our interior OL and thinks that we are going to be good at G-C-G. The question mark on offense will be the OT spots.
Y'all should give all of these podcasts listens if you have the time. Great stuff.
