Drone Speed Trap on 75

I received a speeding ticket by "aircraft" in Madison County on I-10 in 2007 or 2008. They definitely exist. The drone captures your speed, alerts the FHP a few miles down the road and they pick you off 1 by 1.

Aircraft time your car between marks on the highway. I think the drone may use radar. I don't think a laser would work from a high angle like that.

So would a regular radar detector pick that up?

This is how we handle drones up here.

Everything I've come across regarding LE drone use in Florida prohibits the use for speed enforcement. At least so far.

With GPS and the tech available today for target acquisition, I doubt lidar nor radar would be needed.
