Some of you all have been asking for something like this for a while. I put together a chart showing where each of FSU's scholarships are by class and position, along with a story that explains how the coaching staff tries to project future needs while recruiting. It's a moving target, and it's not always easy to hit.
Here's the story.
This is especially important around signing day. FSU has signed at least one player at every position group in each of the last three years, which helps when trying to avoid a group being imbalanced with too many upperclassmen or too many young players. You might end up with a situation like this year, where four senior OL leave at once, or you're a little thin at linebacker after a couple transfers and injuries, but it's much better than it would be at a lot of programs.
