FSU's third-string defense keeps UMass out of the end zone late in the game. Seminoles take a knee. And that'll do it. FSU dominates from start to finish and picks up its biggest margin of victory against an FBS opponent since 2013.
FSU 59, UMass 3 FINAL

Another TD drive orchestrated by Chubba. Hit Parchment on two big plays and then found Jordan Young WIDE OPEN in the end zone for six. Fitzgerald makes another PAT.
FSU 59, UMass 3 12:53 4th

UMass fumbles kickoff. FSU scores in two plays. Toafili finds end zone on a nice 10-yard run up the gut.
FSU 52, UMass 3 4:44 3rd

Chubba leads em right down the field. Six play, 69-yard drive. Ward and Corbin got it done on the ground and then Purdy hit McDonald for a 12-yard TD pass. Nice job by the TE to shake off the tackle and get in the end zone.
FSU 45, UMass 3 5:02 3rd

The two offenses exchange punts to start the third quarter. Travis' drive was derailed with an OPI call on McClain. Now his day is done. And Chubba Purdy starts this drive for the Seminoles.
FSU 38, UMass 3 8:00 3rd

UMass runs one play and then takes it to the locker room.
FSU 38, UMass 3 HALFTIME

Jarvis Brownlee intercepts a pass and takes it 70 yards for the touchdown. First defensive score of the year for the Seminoles. Good for Brownlee, too. He dropped a pick on the first drive and was really upset with himself. Cool that he got another chance and didn't squander it.
FSU 38, UMass 3 :25 2nd

And another long drive for the FSU offense. This one is 76 yards in eight plays. D.J. Williams finds the end zone on a 23-yard TD run. Seminoles now have 385 total yards, including 262 rushing.
FSU 31, UMass 3 1:13 2nd

Another long TD drive for the FSU offense. 80 yards in seven plays. Tre'Shaun Ward had a 23-yard run and then finished off the drive with a 17-yard TD. FSU currently has 206 yards rushing on 20 attempts. Travis has also thrown for 104. UMass not a great unit on defense. Clearly.
FSU 24, UMass 3 6:00 2nd

UMass offense hits a big screen play and then gets an extra 15 on a personal foul penalty on Amari Gainer. Got all the way down to the FSU 5, in fact, before Jammie Robinson ends the threat with an INT in the end zone. Horrible throw/decision by the UMass QB there. Robert Cooper played on that drive after sitting out the first quarter. Shyheim Brown made an appearance on that drive as well, had a QB pressure on the big screen pass.
FSU 17, UMass 3 9:48 2nd

Travis Jay makes one of the weirdest punt returns I've ever seen. Caught it at the 5. Then just took a knee. Never seen that before. Anywho, FSU offense takes over at own 6 and goes 94 yards. Biggest play was a 51-yard pass to Malik McClain on a shallow cross on third down, made a dude miss and then got to the sideline for the big gain. Jashaun Corbin then finished off the drive with a 29-yard TD run.
FSU 17, UMass 3 13:31 2nd

FSU defense allows a first down but then forces a punt. Knowles with a nice tackle on a screen pass. Offense takes over at its own 7, gets a big run by Toafili and then a 30-yard pass to Wilson before bogging down in the red zone. Fitzgerald with a FG, though, so FSU gets some points out of it.
FSU 10, UMass 3 4:45 1st

FSU offense goes 75 yards in six plays. The biggest plays were a 39-yard run by Jordan Travis and then a 12-yard reception by Camm McDonald on third and 10. Pokey Wilson had a horrible drop on what was probably going to be a touchdown, but Seminoles scored anyway on the Travis 3-yard TD run.
FSU 7, UMass 3 11:37 1st

Nice stand for the defense, getting a three and out. But UMass drills a 46-yard FG after the turnover. Seminoles trail.
UMass 3, FSU 0 13:53 1st

UMass won the toss and deferred. So, FSU will get the ball first.
And Travis Jay fumbles the opening kickoff. They're reviewing it, but it's a fumble. UMass will have the ball at the FSU 26.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11:40 -- That's it for pregame ... players in the locker room. Band about to take the field. Corey will have game updates shortly after noon.

11:35 -- Looks like Akeem Dent and Jammie Robinson will be the starting safeties.

11:30 -- Based on pregame warmups, looks like Baveon Johnson will start at right guard over Devontay Love-Taylor. Love-Taylor is dressed out, but he is coming back from an injury, so they might try to give him more time to rehab. Rest of the OL is same: R. Scott, Gibbons, M. Smith and D. Washington.

11:20 -- Starting safety Sidney Williams is not dressed out today. Neither is returner Corey Wren.

11:15 -- DB Renardo Green is not dressed out but DB Brendan Gant is. Also good to see C Maurice Smith out there early. Looks good to go.

11:05 -- QBs are now out in full uniform warming up. And several of the skills players have come out as well. As mentioned earlier, Corbin looks like a full-go.

10:50 --UMass head coach Walt Bell and assistant coach Donte Pimpleton, both of whom were on Willie Taggart's staff at FSU, just spent a few moments with Odell Haggins near midfield. Ron Dugans has caught up with them as well.

10:35 -- FSU's RBs are taking their pregame walk around the field before warming up. There were some questions about Corbin's health after he got a little banged up against UNC, but he looks good.

10:30 -- FSU's kickers have been out there warming up, and now the WRs are out there as well.

Bunch of UMass players are out there as well. Not trying to be rude, but they're not very impressive physically. If FSU is clean and plays hard, UMass is gonna have a really tough time.

Good morning! Here at Doak for FSU-UMass.

The QBs are already out on the field doing some stretching and light throwing. All QBs are present and accounted for.
