We talk about "The Seminole Family" and here's more tangible evidence it's real.
Billy Sexton suffered a massive stroke in August and his rehab, now in its seventh month, has been slow, expensive and far from over.
Former Seminole Booster President and CEO Andy Miller wanted to do something to lift Billy and Joy's spirits and lighten the financial load so he put together a golf tournament and asked TheOsceola.com to organize a dinner. One of Billy's runningbacks Sammie Smith thought the the dinner a great idea and made a commitment to help us by buying a large table and spread the word to former players and friends. Before I could even put the website together for the golf tournament and dinner, the events were filling rapidly.
There were close to 50 seats still available at the time of this posting and nine foresomes for those who can attend. For those of you who cannot, TheOsceola.com will bring the event to you with video coverage of the event and interviews with players who could not attend but have stories to tell.
Here's the details with links to register.
