In time to hopefully a special place or memory!

To celebrate Gordon lightfoot listened to sundown, and if you could read my mind

Mr bojangles
The band- the waltz

I’m all over the place tonight, just slipping back to some sweet times

Juice Newton - angel of the morning
If I were a carpenter

Don’t know where it will lead, but I’m enjoying it!

Hope y’all can enjoy some memories tonight too!

For me it was in the locker room in August of 76 at 2 a days listening to “Rhinestone Cowboy” by Glen Campbell (an underrated genius) and “I’m Not In Love” by 10cc. Good times for sure!

When I was a wild young man 18 or so there was a woman who sang like Janis Joplin
Deep raspy blues voice

She weighed over 300 lbs
Called herself “ big mama blue”!

I used to get up and dance with her while she sang
Drunk of course

My bony little ass shaking it with this mountain of a woman

Funny I was the only one who dared to do it

Man did some stupid fun stuff while drunk!
Glad I lived thru it all

You sure that wasn't Big Mama Thornton? Don't know your age, so that might be before your time.

As for me, "I Don't Need No Doctor", Humble Pie's closing number on their Performance album. I constantly played that one track over and over back in the early 70s.

And I wore out (literally) 2 copies of the Super Session album with Kooper/Bloomfield/Stills before getting the CD that I couldn't kill.

I listen to old music everyday, usually from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. Alexa sometimes finds some good streams, then I ask for specific artists.

Then, of course, I go out and hear a lot of artists play originals with few covers.

I wonder if a few will do a tribute to GL tonight.

Freshman year a song by Air Supply called Afternoon Delight came out. My theme song for that sweet year that I’ll never forget!
