Golson's shortcoming in one word ...

... DECISIONS. The guy can run pretty well. He has a very strong arm and pretty good accuracy.
But he makes bad DECISIONS. On every zone read play, he hands off when he should keep it.
Against GT, with Cook all alone in the left flat from the 5, he tries to squeeze one in the end zone.
After the game, the Syracuse coach said he'd rather have faced Golson because he "never checks out of a play."
The more football I watch, the more I know that good QBing means good decisions. Not the big arm, not the Michael Vick wheels, not the big body.
